Last week our Parents' Association hosted their first event of the year in aid of Macmillan. Many parents and staff enjoyed a coffee, a cake and a chance to chat with other parents in the homely environment of the Boarding House. As well as hotly-anticipated raffle, there were whole cakes for sale & smaller treats to take home or to be enjoyed at the Coffee Morning. £585 was raised at the event in the Boarding House and a further £65 was raised in our staff rooms throughout the week.
All money raised will support Macmillan’s vital work & will help fund the charity's amazing Macmillan nurses, answer calls on the Support Line, give financial support, and more. In 2022, over £12 million was raised from coffee mornings throughout the UK and over £290 million has gone to this charitable cause since its launch in 1990.
