At the start of October, we opened our doors to prospective families at St John's for our inaugural Open Morning of the year, and the school truly shone in the bright sunshine.
Our Forms 2 and 6 pupils took pride in guiding visitors through Byron House, Senior House, and the expansive playing fields and astro. They also highlighted Whitfield House, home to our boarders and our talented St John's College Choir Choristers.
Visitors remarked on the children's engagement in classrooms and the genuine bond between teachers and pupils, paired with a calm learning environment.
"It was heartwarming to witness our tour guides’ passion for their school. They radiated confidence and feel genuinely valued within this close-knit community."
To conclude, families enjoyed insightful talks from Neil Chippington, our Headmaster; Althea Pipe, Deputy Head; along with an opportunity to meet Sarah Wright who will step into her role as Head in September 2025. Prospective families had the chance to listen to what makes our St John's ethos so special with information about our Emotions for Learning curriculum, Play-Based Learning and our broad and balanced curriculum that encourages every child to develop a sense of their best selves.
